Every fitting is measured in your own ear.
Manufacturer default settings routinely land below prescriptive targets in the high frequencies, which is where consonants live. We put a probe microphone in your ear canal and measure what the hearing aid is actually delivering at your eardrum, then correct it. That is real-ear measurement, and it happens at every fitting.
2
You leave understanding your own audiogram.
We go through the chart with you and translate it into the rooms you actually sit in: the restaurant, the meeting, the car, the phone. Then we tell you what technology will and will not change about each of them.
3
Doctors of Audiology, and the referral when you need one.
Our audiologists hold doctorates in audiology and are licensed in New York. When something needs a physician rather than an audiologist, we say so and refer you to an ENT rather than fitting around it.
4
A full diagnostic battery, not a screening.
A screening tells you whether to look further. A diagnostic evaluation is what we run: case history, otoscopy, air and bone thresholds, speech testing, and middle-ear measures where they are indicated. You get the results and the explanation in the same visit.
5
Every hearing aid comes with a trial period.
You wear the devices in your own life before you commit. We go through the length of the trial and the return terms in writing first, and the follow-up visits inside it are already covered by the fitting fee.
6
We fit every major manufacturer.
What we recommend is not constrained by what we happen to stock. If a different brand suits your hearing, your ears and your hands better, that is the one we fit.
7
The same audiologist, across the whole course of care.
Your file stays with one clinician through the fitting, the follow-ups, the adjustments and the repairs. You are not starting the conversation again every visit.
8
Cleaning, checks and repairs are part of the deal.
Wax guards clog, domes perish, receivers fail. We clean and check hearing aids here, and we handle repairs rather than posting you back to the manufacturer and leaving you without them.
