In-the-ear hearing aids: who they suit
An in-the-ear aid is made to fit the outer ear. The Mayo Clinic says it comes as a full shell or a half shell, helps mild to more serious hearing loss, and has room for features such as directional microphones. It is easier for others to see than smaller styles. An ear exam and a hearing test show whether it is an option for you.
